March 2010 - DarkHorse Ultra-Compact Tube Amp Now Shipping

Darkhorse

The highly anticipated Traynor Dark Horse all-tube guitar head debuted at the 2010 Winter NAMM show is now shipping. Destined to be an instant classic, the DarkHorse delivers fifteen watts of all-tube tone in an ultra-compact head and cabinet combination specifically designed to be the ultimate tone-machine.

More versatile than anything in its class, the Traynor Dark Horse only has a simple Gain, Bass, Treble and Master controls allow easy access to the perfect amp sound on stage or in the studio. The preamp stage switches between 'USA' mode for clean full tone, or a grittier 'Brit' position for that classic British crunch. A third 'Pure' option bypasses the tone stack completely, delivering the most direct signal path possible between the player's fingers and the 12-inch Celestion™ Greenback speaker housed in the Dark Horse's optional closed-back extension cabinet.

Selectable output power switches between two separate output stages - a higher headroom 15-watt pentode stage or a 2-watt triode stage for increased drive. A combination of 8 and 16-ohm outputs allows the Dark Horse to drive virtually any cabinet configuration.
